DEFINITIONS

One acre or more square feet of impervious surface area on Industrial/Commercial Development.

"Industrial/Commercial Facility" means any facility involved and/or used in the production, manufacture, storage, transportation, distribution, exchange or sale of goods and/or commodities, and any facility involved and/or used in providing professional and non-professional services. This category of facilities includes, but is not limited to, any facility defined by the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC). Facility ownership (federal, state, municipal, private) and profit motive of the facility are not factors in this definition.

"Commercial Development" means any development on private land that is not heavy industrial or residential. The category includes, but is not limited to: hospitals, laboratories and other medical facilities, educational institutions, recreational facilities, plant nurseries, car wash facilities, mini-malls and other business complexes, shopping malls, hotels, office buildings, public warehouses and other light industrial complexes.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. Peak Storm Water Runoff Discharge Rate: Post-development peak storm water runoff discharge rates shall not exceed the estimated pre-development rate for developments where the increased peak storm water discharge rate will result in increased potential for downstream erosion.
  2. Conserve Natural Areas
  3. Minimize Storm Water Pollutants of Concern
  4. Protect Slopes and Channels
  5. Provide Storm Drain System Stenciling and Signage
  6. Properly Design Outdoor Material Storage Areas
  7. Properly Design Trash Storage Areas
  8. Provide Proof on Ongoing BMP Maintenance
  9. Design Standards for Structural or Treatment Control BMPs: Post-construction Treatment Control BMPs are required to incorporate, at a minimum, either a volumetric or flow based treatment control design standard or both, to mitigate (infiltrate, filter, or treat) storm water runoff.

  2. Properly Design Repair/Maintenance Bays
  3. Properly Design Vehicle/Equipment Wash Areas
