City to Host Van Nuys-Pacoima Green Street Project Workshops

The City of Los Angeles invites you to provide input on the Van Nuys-Pacoima Neighborhood Green Street Project, which will enhance the water quality of LA’s rivers and ocean, increase groundwater recharge in the San Fernando Groundwater Basin and alleviate nuisance flooding.

Project construction is expected to start in summer 2018 and be completed in spring 2019. There will be minimal impacts to parking and traffic due to construction, as most work will occur within parkways and adjacent parking lane. The Van Nuys-Pacoima Neighborhood Green Street Project will complement Metro’s East San Fernando Valley Transit Corridor Project, which is expected to begin construction in 2021. Metro’s project area will be located along Van Nuys Blvd.

The City will host two public meetings for community input in December 2017 and January 2018. Here are the details regarding the two public meetings:

Dates: Wednesday, December 13, 2017 and Wednesday, January 17, 2018

Time: 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
