Prepare and then Share

Rainy.LA.Night.srd515One of the season’s coldest storms is here. Are you prepared?

Here are a few reminders from LA Stormwater to keep in mind as Los Angeles deals with wet, stormy weather over the next 24 hours.

1. Stay away from storm drain channels and areas subject to sudden flooding.

2. Stay away from downed power lines and electrical wires. Report downed electrical lines to the Department of Water and Power.

3. Do not attempt to cross a flowing stream. Even shallow water can sweep you off your feet.

4. Do not drive through flooded streets and avoid needless trips.

5. Report flooded streets and clogged catch basins by calling the Los Angeles Stormwater Hotline at (800) 974-9794.

6. Share this on your Facebook page to remind your friends to be safe during the storm!
