Sneak a Peek with a Click

Here at LA Stormwater, we are proud to be on the leading edge of environmental public education efforts. Our Facebookpage and Team Effort blog gives us a chance to chat with you about the issues facing Los Angeles’ rivers, creeks, lakes and beaches. Our quarterly e-newsletter LA Stormwater provides us with the opportunity to update you on projects and programs we’re working on to improve water quality. Now it’s time to expand our online presence by revamping the cornerstone of our award-winning program – our LA Stormwater web site. Now we know you love our web site. We do, too! But even the best web sites need a face lift every so often and that’s what we’ve been working on for the last six months – a new LA Stormwater web site sporting a fresh look, new features and updated content. Just before Earth Day on April 22 (perfect timing, right?), we’ll be launching LA Stormwater’s new web site, but you can be one of the first ones to sneak a peek with a click now.

We think you’ll like what you see. We’ve given the site a new aesthetic that mirrors the look we created a few years ago for our Team Effort blog and LA Stormwater e-newsletter. We’ve incorporated friendly features that will make it easy to navigate:

  • A “Popular Links” section will list our most frequently visited pages.
  • A “How Do I…?” menu on the home page will provide quick page links to questions.
  • A “Library” will house downloadable program documents.
  • Our Facebook page and Team Effort blog will be featured prominently on our home page, linking users to ongoing conversations about our efforts to improve water quality here in Southern California.

So, take a peek now and let us know what you think in the comments section below! And be sure to check back in a week or so for the web site’s full reveal. It’ll feature a fun, virtual scavenger hunt to familiarize you with the new site, and in usual LA Stormwater style, the winner will enjoy a beach-related prize just in time for some summer fun!
